Welcome to our upcoming three-session adult guitar workshop, where we’ll be taking a deep dive into Lionel Richie’s beloved hit, “Dancing on the Ceiling”. Over the course of three one-hour sessions, we’ll help you master the song’s iconic guitar parts and improve your overall guitar playing ability.
Session 1: Chord Progressions and Rhythm Guitar In the first session, we’ll start by analysing the song’s chord progressions and structure, and learning the rhythm guitar parts that drive the song’s infectious groove. Our instructor will guide you through each part, providing practice exercises and techniques to help you master the song’s feel and rhythm.
Session 2: Lead Guitar and Soloing In the second session, we’ll focus on the song’s lead guitar parts and soloing techniques. Our instructor will provide you with detailed breakdowns of each part, and give you the opportunity to practice playing the song with the rest of the group. You’ll receive feedback and guidance from the instructor to help you perfect the parts.
Session 3: Advanced Techniques and Refining Your Playing In the final session, we’ll focus on advanced techniques to take your playing to the next level. We’ll discuss improvisation techniques, advanced chord progressions, and provide you with practice exercises to help you improve your skills. You’ll also have the opportunity to play the song with the rest of the group, receiving individual feedback and guidance from the instructor to help you refine your playing.
In addition to the in-person sessions, we’ll provide you with video and PDF resources to help you practice at home between sessions. These materials will help reinforce what you’ve learned in class, and give you the tools you need to continue practicing and improving the song.
